Thursday, February 16th 2012 Today, We have discussion in a small group, to talk about the youth culture in every place and that stereotype. My group talk about the youth culture in Salatiga and Purwodadi, especially for the education. In Salatiga, after graduated from senior high school, pupils like to continue their study in college, but in Purwodadi, most of youth people still do not concern with education, so after graduated from senior high school, they prefer to work or get married. Other group talk about the youth culture in fashion, habit, ect, I think, Indonesian people especially youth people is such as a follower. They always up to date to follow something that happening at that time. Most of all is the effect of media. Television and internet is the most influential things that people should be aware about it.

Thursday, February 9th 2012 Today, In CCU Class,, Me and my friends learn about how we face the cultural identity From that lecture, I understand that sometimes cultural differences in every place in every people make such as a fighting between their community. Actually, the cultural identity is important for every people.  because, we can understand and learn and also build our identity with that community... As a society, we should be wise to face that different culture. Because in fact, Indonesia has many different culture. We should not make a negative stereotype and we must not be so strict with our culture or our mind, because it will make us looks like “exclusive”. And sometimes, that exclusive things can make some fight if every people face it negatively. We must be wise and open minded in every cases. We also learn about community that actually can shape us and build our personality. In what community do we ussually joint? It will show the quality of us.
